Creamy Garlic Fusilli

Cook fusilli pasta noodles in generously salted water until al dente, then drain while reserving a splash of the starchy pasta water (that's the secret to a great sauce).

In a wide pan over medium heat, melt 3 tablespoons of unsalted butter with 1 tablespoon olive oil. Toss in 3 minced garlic cloves and cook just until fragrant, about 20 seconds, to avoid burning the delicate aromatics.

Pour in 1.5 cups heavy cream and let it simmer gently. Season with ½ teaspoon each salt and pepper, 1 teaspoon each onion powder, garlic powder and parsley, plus ½ teaspoon chili flakes for a subtle kick. Stir in the juice of one lemon for brightness.

Drop in 2 ounces softened cream cheese and whisk until it melts into a velvety base. Add the cooked pasta, ½ cup parmesan cheese and that reserved pasta water. Toss everything until the noodles are lushly coated.

Top with extra parmesan and a fresh squeeze of lemon. This indulgent yet easy fusilli delivers garlicky comfort with creamy tang, ready in minutes for a satisfying bliss.
